Between 1537 and 1543 Asunción in Paraguay was known as "Mahomet's Paradise". The name arose from a group of catholic Conquistadors who remained there, immersed in sex, for almost six years. Everything that happened between those two dates was silenced. But it was a dog which told this story. And his, is the only record of that time where, in that land, madness and sex blazed as they may never have blazed before or since.
